Thank you for reaching out! We have, from the beginning, ensured ways for our pod and consultants to listen to and support the people that Charlie has harmed as best we can. Over time, what we can do has shifted as we've navigated specific situations with survivors that have different needs, different experiences, and different requests of Charlie (and of the people involved with his process, as well). If you're curious about some of our initial intentions, you can read our Medium "FAQ" post that has information that addresses some of that. (https://cgaccpod.medium.com/accountability-pod-frequently-asked-questions-7c9eb0e154aa)

We also want to mention that accountability work can encompass a lot of different things, and has a lot of different components that groups can focus on. In an ideal world we could do all three - we can focus on a person who caused harm, focus on the people who were harmed, and focus on community. However, not everyone has the capacity to fully dive into all of those. Sometimes, people in accountability processes choose to focus on one; sometimes, they can do a little bit of all of them, as much as they can. Our pod members and consultants have gone really hard on the person who caused harm, because that's who asked us to do something - and that is where we saw greatest immediate potential for stopping immediate harms. To us, that is also a way of being survivor centered - to ensure that the person who caused harm is hindered in their ability to keep causing harm, and that their potential for harm in the future is reduced. And additionally, with the work that Rachel & Bee have done in their direct communications with survivors, we've worked to ensure that at every step of the way, we are asking ourselves questions. What harmful impact could this have on this person? What have they directly stated to us? What do they want? What are their preferences? What can we offer that would maximize their agency and choice and accessibility to information? And every step of the way, asking those questions is part of what being survivor centered is about, even when you're on an accountability pod for someone who caused harm.

We are currently in the final review stages of a summary of reported harms, which will be followed by how we have addressed those harms, details on how we have specifically supported survivors, and how the community can provide continued support and look out for patterns that Charlie may, or may not, repeat in the future.

We are absolutely here to answer any questions in more depth; if you (or anyone else) would like to reach out to us directly, you can email the pod members at cgaccpod@gmail.com (note: Charlie has no access to this email account, and pod members hold communications to that email address in strict confidence unless given explicit, advance permission on what, how, and where it may be shared).
