October 2021 Update

As part of our previously stated goals, the pod has committed on multiple occasions to increase the consistency & frequency of Medium update posts. Clearly, we’ve been unable to fulfill that commitment. While there are numerous reasons — from our personal capacity for this work, to navigating school / work / personal challenges, to illnesses and necessary time away from the work to enable us to return to the work in a way that is balanced — none of this excuses our lack of follow through. We collectively wanted to take ownership of dropping that ball, and rather than wait for a “perfect and finished update”, be able to name this and keep doing the work.

We are still working on a plan to publish the promised updates, along with some of Charlie’s writing, and the plans for moving forward as we wrap up our work during this accountability process. Our goal is to ensure that Charlie remains accountable to his professional and personal communities, and to reduce the potential for future harm.
